Spice-up Your Flat Screen Slide Show with Christmas Pictures

Many stores have found the use of a flat screen with a slide show to promote their products and services to be effective in-store marketing. The TV is usually placed behind the counter for customers to watch while their packages are being processed.

Some stores have gone so far as to remove all the other posters and signs from what had become cluttered wall space and placed all of their information into the slide show.

A economical alternative mentioned in this blog is a couple of digital picture frames placed on the counter with a slide show of a featured product or service instead of the flat screen. But with the dramatic drop in the price of flat screen TVs, the digital picture frames have for some stores become an addition rather than a substitute.

Like every other media, the impact of the message and the media gets stale and overlooked over time. It is important for the effectiveness of the slide show to keep it fresh and current. Even a background change can help readership.

The Christmas holiday season is a good time to make a change and redirect your customers’ attention to your screens.

For TV, if the establishment is using:
- more than four TVs;
- more than one TV in any one room; or
- if any of the TVs used have a diagonal screen size greater than 55 inches.

For radio, if the establishment is using:
- more than six loudspeakers; or
- more than four loudspeakers in any one room.
